Character: Cypher, aka Doug Ramsey. Known as Chatter in House of M.
Character’s age: 22
Character's powers: ability to understand and translate any language, spoken, computer, alien, etc...
Character's personality:
Regular Universe:
an out and out geek, Cypher loves to play video games, surf the net, and talk about Star Wars until your ears bleed.
House of M:
Chatter is equally awkward and socially inept, but for different reasons; his powers manifested in his late teens, so he's been in a Human camp until recently, and isn't used to being around other mutants yet. He is taken to fits of frustrated anger, due to a) dealing with his fairly new ability and headaches associated with it, and b) because he can't seem to connect or relate to the other SHIELD trainees.
Play by: Jensen Ackles.
Character history: a generally happy child, Doug grew up with little exposure to prejudice or mutant hatred. He befriended Kitty Pryde at a young age, and their friendship helped him become comfortable with being the nerdy kid, since he always had a friend. In House of M he and Katherine Pryde never met, since his powers didn't manifest, and he's become something of a dangerous introvert.
